I think Palin did a good job, She spoke well and directly into the camera which was engaging. Biden did a great job also,

I would call it a tie if Sarah would have answered the questions directly.

Sarah had no intentions of answering some questions that were asked to her directly, she said so within the first 10 minutes. She said something to the tune of 'I won't answer the question the way you want me to.'

Both sides did well though and hit on several good points and did a good job of countering one another. Palin was in over her head and as the debate wore on you could see she was trying to stick to a certain set of issues that she had confidence in her knowledge of, and tried to avoid others she had no clue about.

Say That Easy Rider! What Palin did is known as "shifting". When she couldn't answer directly, she would speak on something she was more comfortable with. I was upset that Biden only called her out on that fact once and he should've done it every time...Arrggh!

I couldn't believe that she kept harping on Energy when it wasn't even the question that was asked...she started pissing me off with that. It's like she only sharpened her pencil on Energy, The War, The Econonmy & Healthcare...which is what we wanna know about...but she could only speak to them up to a certain point. She couldn't provide specifics on nuttin.

And when she said she's only been in the runnings for 5 weeks...well I just about passed out that she had said that out loud. And you think she could run this country, if need be?/if she had too? PA-LEEZ.

The bar was set so low for Palin the only thing she had to do was not fart on stage.

Biden pwned her on the issues.

I was luke warm on Biden before the debate but i think it was a great pick. We need smart people in the white house not "Joe sixpack"

I don't want to feel like I am smarter than the VP and the President.

Yeah, Joe Sixpack can be the White House Chef for the Super Bowl party, but certainly not the owner of the home.

For some reason everyone seemed afraid to really jump on the other person for things they said or in some cases didn't say. Palin towed the party line like a MF, he must have said 'John McCain' over 100 (good thing that wasn't a drinking hot word) and like you said, she really rode that Energy pony. 'I would like to go back to energy for a second'...That would have been good had she said something new, but she just kept saying the same stuff.
