I would think that the interest are the same on both sides, to be honest I think that its more woman who are concerned and looking more at what is going on in the political arena.
Most men I know are more in tune with politics than I am. I so busy being "every woman" that I'm not really into it. Interests in politics, just like, sports...varies between men and women.
I jump in during election time...but don't follow very closely otherwise. This election has been the only one that I've followed as closely as I have been.
As you can see, in the blogs, the men have been making specific policy references, etc.
I would like to think that I am in tune with politics. I read about whats going on. I watch the news, local, cnn, fox. I believe I have a good idea of whats happening but I do realize that what I thought I knew wasn't as keen as I thought. The reason I say that is only because I have been looking at you lovely smart men (which I'm loving right now) talk in depth about the issues at hand.
Kutos to the men. However, I will say that I get upset when I feel I cant contribute. So you know I'm watching and reading more.
I think it just doesn't interest woman because its not about going to the mall and shoppping. But at this stage of the game and considering the economy everyone should be very in tune to politics because the fabric of our lives is depending on it
I agree with you Goldenstar, I think the interest are the same .. honestly this preseidential election is the first that I have been so vocal about. In the past I have made it my business not to discuss politics or religion.
And Dakim darling .. we have much more interest than shopping and malls .. we also like cooking, cleaning, doing your laundry, breast feeding one child while sowing the buttons on another's shirt, changing the oil in the car while rotating the tires, studying for grad school while watching Oprah, and at the end of the night we still have the time to be your personal .....
How can you say such a thing? I know you just trying to excite us women. At this point everyone has to stay abreast of what's going on, especially concerning the economy.
