Voting

Why is it that people are so into sports when they have no control over what happens. But when it comes to voting they always make the comment "why vote its not going to make a difference anyway?

Do you think McCain will be able to make a comeback? Should Obama play it safe, which is what he has been doing?

People say "why vote its not going to make a difference anyway" out of ignorance.Somtime I think people don't want to deal with issues and chose to ignore the importance of the steps needed to be taken to try to solve it. It also reflects to me how ppl handle their everyday life. Choosing to accept their current situations and blame others for their failures or mishapps

Mccain is going to try real hard. But I think its over

The current system lends people to beleive that their vote doesn't matter. By using the electoral college (for presidential elections) people feel that their vote does matter, and technically it doesn't, each representative is not legally bound to vote the way his/her constiuents vote. However, there is no excuse to ever say 'My vote doesn't count' especially when voting in primaries and local elections. the 'My vote doesn't count' is an easy excuse, but it's just a big pile of bull shit, go vote dammit, try something new.

Kermit McCain has one big push left in him. I will not say it's over until January 20, 2009.

People are just lazy or maybe have just lacked the inspiration to do so. This year will be different early voting already through the roof.

I two weeks ago and the lines were bonkers in Cobb County. McCain will make a late push but I don't think he has enough crazies in his base to put him over the hump.

McCain is struggling in all of the battle grounds right now and having to play serious defense in state like Ohio,Florida,Iowa,CO,IND,NC all states that are traditionaly republican strongholds.

I think McCain is going to try and ruffle Obama's shirt. straight piss him off, that is the only tactic that he can use.. He has to make Obama seem out of control.. McCain is running his campaign like Hillary, once they got behind they use outlandish things to get some footing.

People voting, I know until recently I never understood electoral votes etc, school didn't teach it or I wasn't in class on those days..LOL.. An I know how many schools lack the structure to teach basic things. Coupled with the fact that neither candidate has shown any real interest in the poor (lower end of the middle class). Which may lead many not to care about voting. And doing fantasy football and other sports voting, that is where their interest lies, pople do whats important to them at that time

I agree AD .. people are lazy. What I don't understand is why people wait 4 years to vote for president and do nothing about the local elections that take place for Judges, Congressmen, County Sheriff, City Counsel, Govenor, City Official, State Attorney, etc. .. the votes that really matter to your individual states.
