Choice

The Presidential race is tight according to polls. The party lines are almost split down the middle, it appears some are just affected by the Obama or Palin factor. But don't truly know what their party represents.

Are you a Republican or Democrat and why ?

I dont think that any of the two parties are talking about anything, for the most part I think people just want to see change and if Obama can do/make some change happen then most people are behind that.

Most of the topics they cant really make you any promises. Anyone that moves into office will have a hard time trying to pick up the US and make it better.

Republican for a another term I will have to say no... Even if I agree with some of what they are putting on the table.

At this time it is difficult to claim being a member of either party, or shall I say, NEITHER party? Neither has really displayed the ability to solve anything, both have ideas that on paper could fix something, but neither appears willing to concede that the other has a better plan and will not work together to get a damn thing fixed. In this Presidential election it does appear the Dems have a better plan laid out and the GOP is simply campainging the opposite of what the Dems are saying. That withstanding, you are going to need a solid 12 yrs of one party holding office AND congressional control to get any type of energy plan implemented. Most economists are saying its going to take 3-5 yrs for the market to correct itself, so you are looking at a first term president with a fucked up economy his entire tenure, and then have to struggle to be reelected because his opponent is going to run on the platform 'We gave him a chance, and he didn't get it fixed, now give me a chance'. As long as there is political posturing and lobbying and special interest groups, who gives a damn what your party is, vote on the issue that means the most to you, be it GOP or Dem, the other 3 parties are just window dressing and don't matter.

Politics is a joke! Speaking for the men and women on the lower part of this totem pole called democracy I can honestly say I will vote for Obama only because he is the lesser of two evils. I can care less about their political perspectives because it is all smoke and mirrors any way! Obama will be president because the true powers that be are all salivating at the mouths to have the mass American sheeps to follow Obama to continue their plan for world dominance!

Check out the link below for more information and then do your personal research accordingly www.zeitgeistmovie.com

Don’t be fooled! No one has your best interest but you. If you simple except as is you get just that in return as is results!

Obama seems to be more in touch with the people. Mccain is so old he might not make it through the entire term ! Obama's got my vote.

Im with goldenstar..to me neither party is talking about anything. Accpet that to me Obama is saying that he cant promise anything but atleast he will try.

On the other hand McCain is just straight up tyring his hardest and any angle he can to gain votes. Which to me says alot about his character and may dictate how he will make major discisions.

Is it just me or does John McCain remind you of a Muppet? His hand/arm/body jestures when he speaks are so stiff and stick puppet like, and his top lip NEVER moves when he speaks.

Is it possible to OD on Botox, because someone really needs to back his dosage down.

I dont consider my self one or the other really. I just want the person in office who will do the best for all of america.

Republicans can be greedy always trying to get the money no matter the outcome as long as their pockets are fat and democrats can be needy always holding their hands out

wow easyrider, thats a little harsh. you do realize that the man was beaten for 5 years and can't life his arms above his shoulders earily.

i really don't agree with either party 100% but some of the things the dems have been saying is frightening. windfall profits taxes for companies, raising corporate income taxes, redistribution of wealth, thats not the US, thats soviet russia. not to mention hanging around with terrorists and racists, i mean, why is the media not making a bigger deal about that, oh wait, they're all sticky in the pants for obama, i forgot.

on the other hand, i think the republicans play to the religious right way too much, abstinence education isn't working and the war on drugs is a joke. the war in iraq should be scaled back when the time is right and more troops sent to afghanistan.

but for this election i have to vote for mccain. i don't want to see this country shifted so radically into socialism, i like deciding how i spend my money and i sure as hell don't want to give any of it to someone who doesn't deserve it. you can't deny that republicans have a history of lowering taxes and supporting small business both of which are very important to me.

The comment about McCain being stiff was meant as a joke, I know the man got beat A LOT and had both arms broken more than once. I have seen him raise his arms above his shoulders (at the GOP convention I believe more than once). That withstanding, doesn't qualify him to lead anything more than a physical therapy support group. Josh you already are giving your money to those who don't deserve it, but I follow you on what you meant.

I'M NEITHER REP OR DEM. I'M FOR WHO CAN DO THE BEST JOB. PERSONALLY, I FEEL REP ARE FOR THE PEOPLE WHICH IS A GOOD THING. ESPECIALLY IF YOU WANT TO HAVE SOMETHING IN LIFE. (MONETARY VALUES) ON THE OTHER HAND DEM ARE FOR THE COUNTRY. THERE IS A TIME AND SEASON FOR EVERYTHING. I WON'T DRESS IT UP, I'M NOT AN OBAMA FAN, ALTHOUGH HE MAY DO A HELLAVA JOB PLAYING A PUPPET IN THE WHITE HOUSE. BECAUSE WE DO NEED A DEM IN OFFICE TO GET THE WORLD AND US BACK TO OUR COUNTRY (THE US)VS. WORRYING ABOUT EVERYONE ELSE ISSUES. IF NOT, I HATE TO SEE TOMORROW. IF THE DEM PARTY CAN DO THIS IN A 4YR TERM. MARVELOUS. THEN IT'S TIME TO PUT A REP. BACK IN OFFICE TO FOCUS ON US AGAIN AND GET TO THE MONEY. BUSH JUST SCREWED EVERYTHING UP BEING GREEDY AND VINDICTIVE. HE DOESN'T REPRESENT THE REP PARTY. HE'S ABOUT HIS SELF AND SELF ONLY. THE ONE THING I CAN SAY IS, HE IS A GORILLA. HE'S REAL AND HONEST. HE'S NOT GOING TO TELL YOU WHAT YOU WANT TO HEAR, HE DOESN'T CARE IF YOU LIKE IT OR NOT. IT IS, WHAT IT IS. MCCAIN IS A CROOK, AND OLD ONE AT THAT. READ UP ON HIM AND HIS HISTORY. WE COULD USE THAT AS WELL. SOMEONE WHO'S KNOWS HOW TO MUNIPULATE HIS WAY WITH PEACE OR WAR TO GET THIS COUNTRY BACK ON THE RIGHT TRACK.... IF OBAMA WOULD HAVE CHOSEN THE CLINTON'S. I WOULD HAVE VOTED FOR THE DEM PARTY BUT I GUARANTEE THE CLINTONS ARE TO BLACK FOR HIM. LOL
