If you mate came to you and told you that they wanted to purchase house and you didnt have the money. Would you ask all your closes friend to help you come up with a down payment?
My friend just told me this *hit today and I think that its really crazy but maybe im old school with. Like just save the money until I can do it on my own.

Well I actually had this happen to me with a girlfriend of mine. She wasn't married but wanted to build a townhome and she was lacking the down payment money. I mean we cool but we are not that cool. So I declined her offer besides I knew she had no way of paying me back anytime soon. The only person I would probably help like that would be my brother. Correction if I KNEW the person would totally pay me back I probably could help with something on it but I wouldn't pay the whole thing unless I had it like that.
Ummm NO .. If you don't have the money, then you probably can't afford it so I am gonna have to pass on this one .. NO!
'Negative ghost rider, the pattern is full.' If you can't afford it, don't go trying to keep up with the Jones, sit down, save your money and buy it when you afford it. All they are doing is setting themselves up for an ugly situation where they can't pay all these people back. If they are talking that 'I'll pay you back when I get my tax return', they how bout you wait until you get your tax return and get out my face with this bullshit.
I think that would have to be no I wouldnt give out money, I even understand how one could ask you something like its like if you dont have the money just wait.
People today they know we trying to hold on to ever dollar we got!
Personally, I don't have a single friend that's bold enough to ask me for something like a down payment on a home...get the frick outta here!

I mean really, if you asking to borrow a couple thousand for a down payment, what are they going ask to borrow next, my wife...my kids...my job? Really man, really?

Off the subject kinda: I hate to hear ppl holla broke when they have habits such as:smoking, drinking, spending, or whatever else. My office hired this chick and 2-3 wks later she was hollering broke and was bumming gas money from strangers cuz none of us knew her .. but she was outside puffing down a Marlboro every chance you get .. I wanted to say "you out here blowing you gas money in the wind fool!" I will not help ppl like that ..
And to add on STS. I can't stand when someone owes me money and takes their time paying it back, yet they goin to the mall or gettin their hair cut or did. Like dang. I don't give more than I can afford to loose...but I think that's inconsiderate!
that's the reason the economy is messed up now, because people are buying homes they cannot afford. tell them to fall back, stack up then live.
