The minimalist

I have been taking a poll about the use of towels.

I heard that most men are minimalist people they dont care about the simple things like woman do like towels. So I asked some of the guys at my job about it. One guy stated that he has 1 towel that he using everyday and only gives it a wash on sunday. Another guy stated that he uses a towel 10-12 times before he will pick up a fresh one. Then aother guy stated that he only has 2 towel which he keeps in rotation.

Personally this is just nasty I feel that a person should get a new towel everyday and at least own 5 or more.

Most female say they own about 15-20 towels. Most men around 2.

So group I ask you how many towels do you own and how many time will you use it?

I have no clue how many towels I own, my mother gave me a truck load of them when I left home and they just live in my closet. Of course I have my favorite towels that I keep in rotation and some guest towels that I rarely pull out so they stay soft.
I guess I'll use a towel at home for a week, then rotate it, but I have 2 gym towels that I rotate daily because they get cooped up in the bag and would never dry out if I didn't rotate them.
If you think using a towel is nasty, then using that body puff thing for weeks on end must be flat out disgusting. Your body is clean by the time you get to the towel, your body is dirty when you rubbing that puff thingy all over you.

OMG!!!!

you also use a towel for a week, ok lets not talk about the dirt but its wet, I mean what about mildew and things of this nature and the puffy thing should be changed out often I feel but its not like a towel, it doesnt just hold on to dirt. sir.

The hell it doesn't hold onto dirt, it stays wet as well, and has soad residue in it, it actually lives in the shower. A towel should be hung flat so that it has a chance to dry off; but I digress, back to the puff. You actually use it REMOVE dirt from your body, the towel is used to remove water, AFTER you have rinced the dirt and soap away.
You also said change the puff often, how often is often? Weekly, biweekly, daily? You know what, I think I will stop using towels at home and start air drying...just walk around my house until I am sufficiently dry and then get dressed.

Daikim that is some nasty shit... and I know your balls had to have smelled like some nasty mop water!!!

I would rather use a towel for a month than the same body puff until it starts to unravel, as I have seen more than 1 woman do. You know your entire body smells like 'Planned Parenthood' then

Ok so listen to this, if your using the same bath towel for weeks on end..... How often do you replace the wash cloth?

Easy Rider said...

oh the wash cloth gets swapped out somewhere around day 3 or so, can't be rubbing my arm pits on my body too long, although I do believe in a good pre-soak, just like the dishwasher does.

seriously, I just hate doing laundry too much to go through that many towel in a week. You are aware we are still in drought conditions? Maybe we should go back to early 20th century and take bathes once a week. Maybe we can do sand bathes or something. Think about it, it would also help save gas because then you would HAVE to work from home, this saving more money because you are eating lunch at home, thus promoting better health and reducing obesity thus saving company money on insurance premiums. If they save money there maybe they won't have to cut jobs, thus saving the economy. I just solved the economy problem WITHOUT a stimulus package...

yall are off the chain, yes I have to say that I use a new towel everyday, I just dont understand maybe I will slide and use one for 2 days but after that I mean it really has to go man...

ES what does the drought have to do with it? I could see if I said I take 3 showers a day using more water... But you still do laundry and I seperate all materials. No sheets with the towels. No towels with the clothes.

If you wanna walk around until you dry go for it. I like that idea...

Star, I guess you wash your jeans after every wear too? Nothing in your closet dry clean only gets worn twice before dry cleaning?

Do you know how much water a washing machine uses? 5 towels and 10-15 face clothes is damn near a full load, and if you wait for 2 weeks, 10 towels ad 20-30 face clothes is certainly a full load, probably a load and a half.

I mean we talking about water on an item that stuff sours..... Mildew... we can go on

yes I have worn a pair of jeans a couple of times before I wash... but they arent wet or moist and if they are they dont get a second chance sir...

I have lots of towels got plenty for wedding gifts and I try to get them whenever there is a white sale. Overstock is awesome for towel savings by the way.
