I agree this list is missing so many other key things contributed to the black american community. POSITIVE THINGS!!!
Dag on skippy we will always be adding to the list. One thing about our race is we are fighters. Now we have some bad apples in the bunch but for the most part we are going to over come our battles.

thank you for taking time to share this. i too agree there is a lot left out, and just as much to be inserted negative and positive; however, the simple fact the article was from Australia was the impact. America would have us sweep this under the rug. Stick it in a corner, or tuck it away in a closet. I chose and asked this to be shared for a more significant meaning. People, if you dont know me...you will. One of my gifts to life follwoing myself is thought. Analize what you see, hear, have, and know...accept nothing, question everything. (smile) Back to the reason I asked for this to be shared was to show how a country (international) has record of evetns and SOME of what black americans and supporters of every man being equal encountered. America and its secret amongst secrets will never share the entire story...so who is it left up to...those who encountered it, those who lived it, breathed it, to only pass it to grandchildren, and their grandchildren. I am sure we can all add a piece to that time line that no other country or nation would ever realize. I asked it to be shared b/c of it served as a great intro to the presentation. Hopefully you had your speakers turned on listening to the presentation as it depicts images of struggle, life, challenge, objection, rejection, death, mockery, illustrations of how insignificant we were made to appear...NOT BE. Question for anyone and everyone one....where were you comng up as a child....what do you recall and remember...what experiences were shared and told to you, while at the same time your grandmother or great grnadmother taught you to forgive and not to respond to evil with evil? Once I agree there is SOOOO much more that can be added, but its up to us to ensure America never forgets, other countries understand our pain and realize there is so much more they have and will not ever know b/c it has been hidden.

So here is mine...the timeline, the images, the song, brought to memory my grandmother, who I still remember leaving the house in the morning to go work in the fields of prominent upper class families who had no desire or care for her welfare and care more for their stock and land then her life. When I say field...and I am not talking fields of hay. Sadly given the option to freedom, having no choice to do what she needed for her children to ensure their children had.
