What is your opinion on kids 13 - 15 having 10 or more partners? What is your opinion on teens having oral sex vs vaginal sex?
Teens believe oral sex is not sex because there is no vaginal penetration.

Teen 13-15 should have zero partners. As a parent of a teen, I must say that you have to stress the implications of all sex...oral/vaginal...you get the same diseases and it can put your life at risk (although no baby possibilities w/oral).
I try to think of things, to tell my daughter, that I wish I had been told because my own mom never really talked about sex and I became a teen mom (a great one, I turned out to be...all praise to God).
In my situation, times were not all good, there were struggles and my daughter remembers those times. Even now, I'm still a single parent going through things. She sees first hand the implications of teen sex and how life can play out when you're not prepared for the consequences. I encourage her to set goals for herself. The focus, at that age, needs to be on other things, namely education, which includes sex/peer pressure and how to deal with that. Extra curricular activities are healthy for children as well to keep them occupied...but should not include SEX!

I a single mother of a 16 year old son and it's even hard for me, because I'm raising a black man and sex to young black men is suppose to be cool, but I teach my that sex comes with responsibility. My mother did not talk to me with result as a teenage mother. Therefore; I stressed to him not to be that way. It's harder for a male child because with peer pressure it stress set upon him to be curious. I know reality is that he will do it but I do stress that that he does not do it. I expose him to more things that will occupy his time. An idol mind is the devil's workshop.
Considering I have 2 daughters this is a serious issue for me. Society doesn't constistently show good images of women black or white. Teens want to be old too fast and smart too late. As parents it is very critical that we represent what we want them to become. But too often with young parents ppl are stuck living they childhood with their kids. I stress abstinence and let my kids know I have no problem parenting from the penitentray. But more important I do my best to show then how a man should treat a woman and with sex comes a lot of responsiblity. Unfortunately with all the negative and sexual images girls tend to be more agressive than boys.
