No but some independent women have an aura about them that they dont need anything. If a woman is confident enough to be a woman then we are good. But most independent women are looking for puppie dogs. Some independent women have problems with Independent dudes that were raised by men.

To be completely honest, I dont know anymore. I always thought it was one based on compromise but I have seen those relationships fail. I have seen relationships where one party was subservant(sp?) to another, be it man or woman, shown to be successful and healthy. So if I had to give an answer based on my experience, I would have to say it depends on the couple because today is not like when our parents were young. The rules are out the window as what most of us think, thought, or want to believe is good and healthy is relative.
In regards to this question, I really dont think it matters because if the woman feels she is independent and the relationship doesnt work that will be the reason why. In my opinion, a man needs to be needed. This doesnt mean he has to make the most money or drive the biggest car or anything like that but a brotha likes to feel needed in a relationship and that he brings something to the table that keeps things going. As a child I was raised that a man was supposed to tend to house and make sure everything was straight by an independent single black woman. So I think once again this is relative because a lot of women throw their independence in a man's face as to see he isnt good enough to sustain or support. At the same time a man who cant take an independent woman always has options as the same with an independent woman. Everyone loves to use adjectives as a reason to be or not to be. Adjectives are nothing but preferences. Thats like asking whether you like a fat, skinny, broke, rich, crackhead, chickenhead, momma's boy. All those adjectives describe someone we may or may want to deal with or may be intimidated by. Me personally a chic with money definitely intimidates me because Im broke as hell and am always wondering what can i do for her since she has everything. So once again its relative to the person and not a class or gender.
I don't think a confident man is intimidated by an independant woman as much as any man is tired of the woman with that 'I don't need a man for anything' attitude. If you making it a point for me to know you don't need me for anything, I sure as hell ain't gonna give you nothing, because thats what you want me to do.
I would have to say 1 partner disqualifies you from being my wife, but unless I can prove it I think all women are virgins. Only way you can prove is someone done had sex is 1) they got a baby 2) you know/knew the guy that she phuqued 3) she got an incurable STD.

Healthy relationship is when you have to mature adults that agree to live according to their own choices and no society. People love different and it about finding someone that can accept your love and u can accept their without the hurt pain and drama associated with most relationships.
I don't think many man are intimdated by an independent woman. Like ad says those type of woman want a puppy dog. I was talking to two women at a bar and the woman made it a point to state she had a job, house etc. But also says she wants a naive man that she can have her way with WTF !!!! Its this mentality that keeps us down !
Considering I am an old man, I will give a woman my age 5 partners and a midget.. hahaha

What is a good and healthy relationship ?
