Hillary's appointment is a little scary and possibly illegal.

Clinton is constitutionally barred from taking the office due to a pay-rise Condi Rice received while Clinton was senator, citing the Ineligibility Clause (Article 1, Sec. 6) of the United States Constitution. The clause was included by the Founding Fathers when the constitution was written in 1787 to protect against corruption.

"No Senator or Representative shall, during the Time for which he was elected, be appointed to any civil Office under the Authority of the United States, which shall have been created, or the Emoluments [wages] whereof shall have been encreased during such time."

I'm scared because that means she only has to kill 3 people to become president, just ask Vince Foster if you think she won't try.

I think that its a good thing. I think Hillary is a diverse woman and is a good opportunity for her. I am not sure of the illegality of the situation but I am pretty sure that Josh isn't the only one that has heard of Article 1 Section 6 of the Constitution. I am confident that matter was worked out prior to considering her for the position.

Sad to say, but I think Rush Limbaugh made a very valid point when he applauded Obama for selecting HRC, it effectively removes his sole competition for the 2012 reelection bid. She also brings a dirth of knowledge to the position and is a brand that foreign leaders know and respect.

Josh, much like Obama's possible non-natural born citizen theory, I am sure HRC was properly vetted for this position and they probably weighed the possibilities of her assuming the presidency as negligable.
